Hannah is owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms. Pine Forty is a large herd of Peruvian, Bolivian and Peruvian/Bolivian mixed-heritage suris boarded in three locations in the U.S. This dam is available exclusively via The Secret Meadow of Close-Knit Alpacas and can be purchased individually OR as part of an incredible Collection at an "unspeakable" price found only in The Secret Meadow.

This full Bolivian proven suri dam has a wonderful pedigree sure to offer your herd strong suri genetics and some diversification at the same time. Check out her certificate posted with this listing and see what you think!

Hannah is being cared for and housed at the farm of veterinarian Bill Hedberg. I asked him a few specific questions so we can have a better, more first-hand account of this girl.

Dr. Hedberg tells us Hannah has a "very calm temperament" and has been an "average mother," which I take to mean that she is neither exceptionally doting nor a trouble-breeder, etc.

Bill went on to say that Hannah is found to be along "the bottom one third of the herd" in pecking order, which is in sync with her having a very calm, low-key disposition. It's so nice to have a few of those types in the herd - very easy to care for and manage, for certain. Bill also tells us Hannah has had "basic halter training and exhibits normal (typical) behavior when shearing or on herd health days."

Hannah's 2011 fiber sample (available to you upon request) displays fiber that is still locking up very nicely in a soft light twist of shine. It also has silky soft hand and a staple of between 3.5 and 4 inches, which is pretty darn nice, especially for a near 10 year old suri dam who has also born cria. This speaks loudly to her quality genetics and offerings for your herd.

If looking for a full Bolivian suri and proven, easy-going dam to add to your herd, Hannah's a good pick! Remember you can Make an Offer Monday! (or any day) in The Secret Meadow.
