PPF SWEET PEA
Medium Brown, 1348354
Sweet Pea is owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms. Pine Forty is a large herd of 100+ suris boarded in three locations in the U.S. This dam is available exclusively via The Secret Meadow of Close-Knit Alpacas and can be purchased individually OR as part of an incredible Collection at an "unspeakable" price found only in The Secret Meadow.
Sweet Pea is being boarded in Iowa at Bill Hedberg Farms, Inc. Her caregiver, veterinarian Bill Hedberg, was kind enough to give us some specifics about her, since he's got day to day experience with this dam.
I first asked Bill how he can best describe Sweet Pea's temperament and he tells us she's "shy and a little skittish." When I asked him what stands out the most about her, he said "Her size and color!" In one word? "Big" was Bill's immediate answer....lol! I did push him a little further and asked if there is anything outstanding, negative or positive, that should be disclosed about Sweet Pea, and his answer was "She has

Iceman's Legendary Bredo is a 4 year old suri male wholly owned by Julie Jarvinen and Pine Forty Farm. This Peruvian/Bolivian suri herd of 100+/- is boarded in three different U.S. locations. Julie is retiring in 2012 and would like to dramatically reduce her numbers to cut down on the boarding expenses, so here is your opportunity to obtain some very nice suris at remarkable prices. Let's talk a bit about Bredo now....
Legendary Bredo, says Julie, "was named for the 'Frozen Dead Guy,' Bredo Morstel, found in Nederland, CO, and you can find out more by Googling 'Frozen Dead Guy Days.'" LOL!
Bredo is a superb example of suri. His lineage includes the Peruvian studs, PPeruvian Bruxo, Peruvian Macgyver, and Pacific Crest Iceman.
Bredo's dam's side of the tree presents some impressive Bolivians such as Highlander of Bolivia and Bril Creme via PFF Sweet Pea.
Bredo's conformation is good...He's a large male, and testes and bite shots are available upon request. I asked his caregiver, veterinarian Bill Hedberg, if there is anything outstanding, negative or positive, that should be disclosed about this alpaca and he said, "Yes, an old eye injury (corneal ulcer) - the scar is still visible," and other than that, there is nothing else. Bredo's sight is perfectly fine, but he does have that scar.
Bredo's temperament is one of being somewhat "nervous," explains Bill, and this has him hanging around in the bottom of the herd as far as "pecking order" goes...."He's average - nothing outstanding high or low with Bredo - just a nice, average suri male, trained for the show ring, but nervous when being worked with."
Bredo's fleece is quite nice, locking up in gentle, ropey twists, flat at the skin, and soft and silky white!
Bredo and the other suris of Pine Forty Farm can be purchased individually or at an unspeakable price as part of some very special Secret Meadow Collections.
