Miss Lillian is owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms. Pine Forty is a large herd of 100+ suris boarded in three locations in the U.S. This dam is available exclusively via The Secret Meadow of Close-Knit Alpacas and can be purchased individually OR as part of an incredible Collection at an "unspeakable" price found only in The Secret Meadow.
This full Bolivian, proven dam has a very upright presence, correct conformation (awarded with ribbons, too) and an all white pedigree with some less common genetics to ensure vigor and diversity for your herd!
Miss Lillian is being boarded, and her caregivers are Michelle and Christian Davies. In an effort to help you and I (who have not yet had hands-on experiences and day to day life with this dam) learn more and understand most accurately what Miss Lillian's all about, they agreed to answer a few questions for us!
When I asked what they can share about Miss Lillian's production qualities, they tell us she's "a goo

Lily Mae's conformation is good. Her bones are substantial without being bulky, and she's sound. Please don't hesitate to request more images.
Julie tells us, "Just like her dam, Miss Lillian, Lily Mae was an early maturing girl who had her 1st cria at 26 months."
Lily Mae's caregiver, Ann Mayes, calls her "elegant!"
Lily Mae's fleece displays a flat lock structure in her 2011 sample, and a really pretty, creamy white. The staple length I have here is at least five inches, which is very nice.
Lily Mae, full Bolivian, has been held open for a bit, due to the recession and her being a boarded alpaca with an owner ready to retire. It may take a little time to get her hormones revved up, but every indication is that she will not have any problem becoming pregnant and producing quality offspring when bred responsibly.
As with most of Julie's suris, Lily Mae can be haltered and lead but is not pressed to "perform" or do this very often, so she will likely do well to spend more one-on-one time with you to become more secure in that department and relaxed during your interactions with her. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who really enjoys spending time with their animals. Lily Mae is a sweet but shy dam, with a willingness to get to know people.
Lily Mae will provide some wonderful Bolivian quality to your suri or fiber herd in more ways than one. Be sure to learn more about her and/or set up a time to inspect her in person ASAP! She's still young enough to provide you with beautiful cria!
