Neve (yes, pronounced like Neve Campbell's name - Nehv) is owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms. Pine Forty is a large herd of Peruvian, Bolivian (from the Acero Marka herd) and Bolivian/Peruvian mixed-heritage suris boarded in three locations in the U.S.
This young, newly proven female is absolutely lovely.
Neve, a Pival Blazen Son granddaughter, has wonderful conformation with superb presence and a very pretty face, too! Her dental bite shot is available upon request.
Neve is being boarded, and her caregiver is Dr. Bill Hedberg, DVM of Bill Hedberg Farms, Inc in Iowa.
In an effort to help you and I (who have not yet had hands-on experiences and day to day life with this girl) learn more and understand best what Neve is all about, he was kind enough to answer a few questions for us...
When I asked Bill what he can share about Neve's most standout quality, as well as her production qualities, he immediately replied with an emphatic, "Outstanding mother, and her luster is her most prominent attribute." Julie says, "She matured early delivering her 1st cria at 24 mos. of age!
I next asked, "What would you say is this alpaca's pecking order position in its herd group?" and he tells us she fits in around the "the middle of the pack."
When asked "How well does Neve halter, lead & cooperate with Herd Health procedures?" Bill replied, "Neve's had basic halter training & exhibits normal behavior during shearing, etc."
