Nigel is a suri male wholly owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms. This is a large, very nice mixed Bolivian/Peruvian herd of 100+ suris boarded in three locations in the U.S. Nigel is available exclusively via The Secret Meadow of Close-Knit Alpacas. He can be purchased individually OR as part of an incredible Collection at an "unspeakable" price found only in The Secret Meadow.

Nigel is registered as BG/LF, but clearly he has some medium fawn spots on him, so he is FULL of color!

Nigel is boarded in Iowa and cared for by veterinarian, Dr. Bill Hedberg, who was happy to answer a few questions about this handsome young male so we can get the skivvy from the person who sees him the most and really knows him best!

Bill describes Nigel's temperament as "very calm," and says what stands out the most about him are his "color and luster," and that if he had to describe Nigel in only ONE word, it would be "LUSTER!"

Nigel's pedigree is of both Bolivian & Peruvian bloodlines. His paternal grandsire is Pival Blazen Son (a grandson of PPeruvian Juan G4504) and a great grandsire is PPeruvian Ramilo. One can see a great deal of pure white in his lineage, along with a little color in beige, so it's particularly interesting that he's got the light & medium fawn coming through...perhaps linked to his dam's Bolivian relatives - Nafta's Bolivian sire is unknown, as are her dam's sire and dam.

Nigel's conformation is strong and true, upright and substantial, as you can see in his photos!

Nigel has been halter & lead trained, too - in fact he's "been trained for the show ring," according to Dr. Hedberg, though he also says Nigel is "a little nervous."

Nigel's price cannot be beat. He's a sound investment you can't go wrong with... Better still, his long, silky fleece is ready to adorn your suri fiber-focused herd, so don't delay or he'll get away!
