Diva Divine is wholly owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms, with a large herd of 100+ suris boarded in three locations in the U.S. This dam is available exclusively via The Secret Meadow of Close-Knit Alpacas. She can be purchased individually OR as part of an incredible Collection at an "unspeakable" price found only in The Secret Meadow.
Divine is being cared for by Dr. Bill Hedberg, DVM and boarded on Bill Hedberg Farms, Inc. in Iowa. I asked Bill a few questions only a caregiver can answer, so we can have a better idea of all that Divine presents and will offer to your herd and life.
First, I asked Dr. Hedberg to describe Divine's temperament and his answer - "Calm and quiet." In fact, he says her calm disposition is her most outstanding characteristic! I think that's a great quality to have in any suri.
He further went on to say she is "Easy to breed and tease...she's a very good mother."
Divine's conformation is stretchy and still "correct." Divine has a straight top line and solid bone. Overall, she's quite the sound, healthy alpaca.
Divine's fleece displays straight, flat lock structure with a gentle twist midway down the lock, and all in cool white. The staple length on her 2011 clip sample ranges between 3.5" and 4" which works well in fiber production.
Divine's pedigree is primarily made up of Peruvian bloodlines, with a good, healthy dose of Bolivian blood mixed in there for genetic diversity and vigor. Take a look at her ARI certificate and you'll see just what I'm talking about.
Divine has produced no fewer than seven healthy, beautiful suri offspring successfully, and all have been females! Most have been white but she has produced light fawn. Divine's owner, Julie, tells us, "We skipped breeding her the year she was going to have a male...didn't want to spoil her perfect record!" LOL!
