PFF Roman is a suri male wholly owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farm. Roman has much to offer the farm seeking loads of quality suri fleece on a sound and handsome animal. His 2011 fiber sample is seriously soft & displays silky, tiny-tight pencil locks with high sheen!
Roman's being boarded in Iowa and cared for by veterinarian, Dr. Bill Hedberg, who was able to take a little time to answer a few questions for us about Roman, since he sees him every day.
I asked Bill how he would best describe Roman's temperament and he tells us, "Calm." Well, who's going to complain about a quality like that?! I like calm, and bet you do, too!
Next, I asked Dr. Hedberg what he feels stands out most about Roman and his quick reply was his "color and luster," but when I asked him if he could give me just ONE word, well that's when it gets a little funny....He replied, "Bright - Handsome." LOL! So, I guess that means he's equally as handsome as he is bright, and what one word would cover both of those? Think about it....
Roman's been blessed with strong, big bone and correct conformation, too, so combined with his "above average luster," this boy is one exceptionally fine young male with tremendous potential to be either a wonderful herdsire for a terrific suri herd OR at the very least, a superb fleece producer for a colored fiber herd. You decide!
Bill Hedberg says Roman's got a "calm" temperament, too, and that he's halter and lead trained for the show ring, so handling him is really easy. That's yet another big plus about Roman!
