Ytterboe (pronounced "It-ihr-bow"- as in "bow and arrow") is wholly owned by Julie Jarvinen of Pine Forty Farms, with a large herd of 100+ suris boarded in three different locations in the U.S. Ytterboe is available exclusively via The Secret Meadow of Close-Knit Alpacas. He can be purchased individually OR as part of an incredible Collection at an "unspeakable" price found only in The Secret Meadow.
Ytterboe lives in Iowa on Bill Hedberg Farms, Inc., cared for by veterinarian, Dr. Bill Hedberg. I asked Dr. Hedberg if he'd, please, answer a few good questions about this male and others he cares for so we can get a good, first-hand account from the person who has spent the most time with this alpaca.
First of all, he tells us Ytterboe has a "calm temperament" and that if he had to describe this male in only one word, it would be "Stout." So Ytterboe is a substantially sized male. It seems evident in his photos that he is correctly conformed, too, which is good.
When I asked Bill what he thinks stands out the very most about Ytterboe, his response was, "His luster and lock....He has maintained his lock style and luster," and that's saying a lot for a suri of this boys age.
Ytterboe's fleece is very silky. His staple length from the 2011 clip was about 4 +/- inches and is more of a straight, flat lock structure, of course, in white.
Finally, I asked Bill to tell me a bit more about Ytterboe in relation to handling and he tells us, "He is well trained and easy to work with." Yay! Not surprised, but definitely pleased to know that, and I'm sure you are, too.
Ytterboe is, plain and simple, a wonderful opportunity looking right at you today. His price cannot be beat, and he's a sound investment you just can't go wrong with! Better still, if the number you see isn't quite where you need it to be in order for it to be perfect, you can always "Make an Offer Monday!"
Make Ytterboe a part of your farm today. He's ready when you are!
