Elise has a very sweet temperment, and a nice fleece showing higher frequency crimp and a nice hand. She was bred to DDF Peruvian Rico Suave and gave us beautiful bay black female (Mandalay Suave) in 2010. We rebred her back to Rico Suave and she gave us a handsome male with beautiful fleece on 6/13/2011! We are now breeding her to Mountain West Elderon for a 2012 cria.

We will be starting our Spring breeding season without Rico. It will be an emotional time. However, take a look at Romeo Save and our other herdsires. We are still committed to giving you the best.

Today (12/8/2011) was a very sad day at North Plains Alpacas, we said goodbye to Rico. He died early this morning of congestive heart failure. We thank the Lord for such a gift, and so thankful for the offspring we have and the ones coming in 2012!

DDF Peruvian Rico Suave is an excellent example of long lasting fineness. Age 7 Rico's micron is at 17.1, SD 3.3, CV 19.3, %>30 0.4% and age 8, Rico still has a micron of 17.1, SD 3.5, CV 20.5, %>30 0.5, and now at age 10 (2010 testing), Rico's micron is 16.6, SD 3.3, CV 19.9, %>30 .05%...WOW!
