An award winning combination of a Royal Fawn 1/2 Accoyo dam, Peruvian Chloe who still has an impressive micron of 22.1 at age 9...after 6 crias and a Stratosphere cria due any day!) AND his sire is none other than FULL Accoyo...CPeruvian Accoyo Express! This 3/4 Accoyo male is the total package! He maintains fineness, density, conformation, coverage and great disposition as a breeding male at 6 years old!
Gold shears 10lbs, his blanket alone was over 6 pounds just as expected after shearing 8.4lbs @ 19 months. His micron was 17.8 in 2006 and we just received 2009 micron count..still very impressive 21.2 after breeding at age 6! He took a FIRST place in the 2009 AOBA National Spin Off competing with males and females! He has FINE crimpy, bundled fleece from his topknot to his toes!
This Full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo is making awesome crias...2 dark rose gray girls. Call us if you are looking to add "Royal Fawn" and "Express" awesome genetics to your herd. Gold is the one!<
First and foremost, this girl's lineage is legendary. Accoyo Express and Royal Fawn on her sire's side coupled with NWA Haldane (one of Hemingway's best male offspring) on her dam's side. How often will you see a Rose Grey out of these lines?! Her sire, Tres Cuartas Accoyo Gold continues time after time throwing incredible fineness. Orinda's first Yocom-McColl results were:
MFD-13.7 SD-3.0 CofV-22.0% >30-0.2% at 10 months!
She has a very interesting color; checked as Medium Brown, there are a large amount of gray fibers throughout the neck and moving down along her topline. She has good substance of bone and correct conformation. As you may assume, she has a very soft handle, evident of her fineness, and has densed up with age. She has great coverage from head to toe and an incredible staple length. The "cherry on top" for this beautiful young female is her easy going temperment, an important trait in my personal breeding program. I couldn't ask for a better foundation female to start in this industry.
Special Thanks to Tom and Leanne Butchko at Mistletoe Farm Alpacas for such a wonderful effort and success in producing top quality, FINE alpacas and Eddie and Gale Etherton at The Shepherds Criations Alpaca Farm for being great mentors through my experiences in the Alpaca Industry.
Orinda is bred to our herdsire GR Luminosity for a Fall '12 cria. After seeing Luminosity's first cria crop, I am VERY EXCITED to see how Orinda's fineness and Luminosity's density and character interact!
