Very fine-fleeced black. Her micron was 19.2 at import and is still under 21. She passes along her excellent fleece characteristics, her total coverage and her balanced conformation to her offspring. She has produced multiple Color Champions for us.
Challenger is the half accoyo, bay black son of CPeruvian Accoyo Express and SA Peruvian Black Mysteria. Born on Hickory Ridge Farm in July of 2007, he showed excellent fiber and conformational characteristics from the time he landed on the ground. The fibers extreme density and softness of handle are two of his qualities that set him apart from the rest of the crowd. The high frequency crimp and thick fiber density allows for the formation of a lock structure that rivals the very best of full Accoyo white animals. When Challenger walks into the ring, his outstanding conformation gives the impression that he is there to own the ring.
Challenger is the epitome of the typey black herdsire genetics that you will want to carry into your herd. Challenger will bring a highly sought after fleece and great genetics to his offspring. We are sure he will be another solid herdsire that the best breeders will want to utilize long ter
ACE is full of all kinds of yummy goodness. He is the guy you will notice in a sea of alpacas over a 5 acre pasture. He is that guy that eye catching. It is no wonder his dam is 6 Peruvian Black Cloud. She is one of the top True Black Full Peruvian Foundation Females at Promised Land Alpacas (who have specialized in Black and Grey Full Peruvians for 16+ years). Cloud had the finest fleece (at 19.2 microns) of any solid true black female in the 5th Peruvian import and has maintained that amazing fineness through a dozen pregnancies and has never been over 21 microns even now in her mid-teens! And Cloud is still a show stopper she looks better than most 5 year olds and still prances around the pasture like a yearling. She has full coverage and full teddy bear head still today. She consistently passes along her extreme lingering fineness, her gorgeous head, correct conformation and her regal bearing. She has produced many show stoppers so it was no surprise when Ace came along. We paired Cloud, one of our bestest, with arguably the VERY BEST OF THE BEST Full Peruvian Bay Black Males ever to be produced .1/2 Accoyo, 21 BANNERS, HRF Peruvian Challenger. Challenger is exceptional elite gasp pick your jaw off the ground - fleece. Yep it is that good elite white quality in BAY BLACK. It is no surprise when you look in the show ring and see his progeny snatching up all the PURPLES.
Ace himself has a super fine fleece with a wonderful handle. He is a true Bay Black, ¼ Accoyo, Full Peruvian with great staple, brightness, nice crimp in a bolder style which many like to pair with the tighter crimped females. He has a show stopping head with full helmet and long eye lashes.
His name came from a Flying Ace, like a pilot the Challenger in the Clouds. He is true to his name you should see him flying around the pasture like a total stud.
