Tallie is a young female, ready to become a part of a fleece and/or production herd of huacayas. Quick description? Tallie’s a “large girl with over 6.5 pounds of fleece,” says Kathy, “and we have not bred her due to our needing to stop our breeding program on our farm because of health issues in our family. If she is like her mother, she will make a great mom.” Now, let’s get some more details, shall we?
Tallie has a temperament that is “quiet,” adds Kathy, “but I have seen her get into it with her sister, Hannah!” This tells us she’s no pushover and is a smart cookie. LOL!
Tallie’s paternal grandsire is PPPeruvian Don Juan and her granddam’s sire is none other than PPeruvian Leon! If that’s not enough to get you excited, take a look at the bloodlines running through her veins from her dam’s side of the tree! You’ll see Silvestre (a medium silver grey Chilean stud), Peruvian Don Julio, PPPeruvian Grand Master, PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, and Peruvian Moonlight Majesty, too! Wow. These genes will be powerful additions to a quality huacaya breeding program.
When I asked Kathy to tell us what stands out most about Tallie, she said “Her fleece is very nice, and I like her temperament. She’s curious like her mom and will come up to you, then pull away. Her fleece has a very nice handle and more (ask for a sample)!”
Next, I asked Kathy what one word would she use to most accurately describe Tallie and she said, “Patient.”
