| | | "Cactus" is one of Dry Creek Alpacas' foundation females. Cactus comes from a strong maternal line which is expressed in her easy birthing, strong milk production and laid back mothering. As a result, her crias are strong and confident! Cactus' 2009 cria, "Buffalo Spring Phantom", took Reserve Color Champion in brown males at the 2010 Southern Select show in Shelbyville. We hope that her 2010 cria, a dark brown female named "Rosie" (by Santa Rosa's Romeo), will carry follow in her mother's footsteps!

Five 1st Place Ribbons before a bout with rickets knocked him out of competition in the show ring.
Wow – 1st place at AOBA and won 1 – 3rd places at other large, highly competitive shows in 2006! We have had to trim the fiber out of his eyes at just 9 months of age. He has fantastic crimp and coverage all over his body and nice consistency from side to side and front to back. His fleece took 1st at MAPACA and at CABO in 2007! Unfortunately a bad bout of rickets knocked him out of showing in 2007. He is robust and healthier than ever now and we are now awaiting his first crias on the ground. Exceptionally fine fleece every year! – His 2008 fleece is that of a healthy animal and it still remains exceptionally fine.
