True Black, 850199, 3/4 Chilean, 1/4 Peruvian

Octavia comes from a long line of black and grey with Bueno on her medium rose grey herdsire’s side (herdsire to the famous grey, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova). Her dam is a dark silver grey out of light silver and medium rose greys. And the pedigree goes back with more grey and black. She herself is a nonfading black.

She is SO SWEET to be around even in her last months of pregnancy and is a wonderful "auntie" to all the cria. That degree of easy handling can't be stressed enough. Octavia would make a new breeder happy in what she produces AND her ease in handling. Her cria all have her wonderful nature, also.

Octavia's El Nino's Valerian breeding gave us a handsome brown boy, "Vito," who is now living in Washington State. She was then bred to Eastwind's Snowstorm (white), as he allows black to pass through, and we got a beautiful black girl, Odette!

Our first Snowstorm cria, Xanadu P Adorno, took 1st at the 2011 AOBA show at just 6 months of age. Not bad.

Dr. Sumar summed up this guy best as he awarded him his first blue:"Fineness, crimp, density, uniformity, coverage, excellent conformaton, and a beautiful head. This alpaca is the total package". Mature fineness too. We now have 11 of his crias on the gound and we're VERY pleased.

6 years old and 20.3 mic; 4.3 SD. We've had our eye on this elite Snowmass Messiah son/Accoyo El Moustachio grandson for over a year and half, even making a trip to Oregon to check him out, but he wasn't then for sale. We were delighted to finally be able to purchase him in partnership with Trueheart Alpacas. For us he'll be the next step in our breeding program developing mature fineness in all of our alpacas and creating champions along the way.

We're continuing to offer his Colorado breedings at a below market price. He's now at Xanadu Farm full time.
