Another True to Type Full Peruvian future herdsire from Jim Barker at Sweet Briar Suri Alpaca Farm in Ohio; Chief Ouray is a Medium Fawn that has started his career with a first place at the Royal Alpaca Challenge 2009. He has a large build and big bone structure with excellent confirmation and dense tight locks to the skin. He has great luster with a very soft fine hand. His Sire is SBS Renegade. Renegade is a Dark Brown, almost Maroon colored male out of Accoyo Jackpot, making Chief Ouray 1/4 Accoyo. Renegades first show at 6 months of age, The AAA Futurity, he won his Dark Brown class and was Reserve Champion. By 14 months of age, he had 5 first places, 2 Color Championships and 2 Reserves. Quite a start!! Renegade continued to win in the show ring in the Spring of both 2004 and 2005. His first cria was a ROSE GREY female, Tinker's Ghost Dancer and his second cria a light fawn girl, Sweet Suri Renaissance. So far he has produced 33 cria, 17 are girls and several are grey. SBS Chief Ouray would be an excellent choice for breeders trying to incorporate Accoyo or Peruvian genetics and fiber quality into their breeding program. We cant wait to see what he will do!
