Oncore needs to go to another home. He is somewhat of a handful. I would like to move him along to any farm that has a small pasture for a male that is confrontational. I can treat Oncore with Oral meds without haltering him, and without help... he does NOT like to be restrained with a halter and it actually causes him great anxiety. Oncore will buck wildly if haltered. So, I usually just hold his neck to treat him and it works out. He has been living alone now for 2 months, since breeding season arrived, he was bullying my other males and since I had the extra pastures, I just moved the other males and left Oncore to live alone. He is much happier alone. During the winter I did not have this issue. Must be the smell of open females nearby. Since I have a multitude of grey males, you can have Oncore for just $1!! This will help me free up that pasture and it might help Oncore get a home where he can be handled more often and he will be used as a stud (which may calm him Oncore is a beautiful grey male with dense, fine, crimpy fleece. He has a great staple length to his fleece. He has a soft handle to the fleece making it easy to sell to hand spinners. The character that I see in his fleece may not be AMAZING, but I can honestly say it is a medium character, highly visible upon inspection, and the crimp goes from skin to tip. Oncore is nearly spot-free - just one or two small black spots in the blanket area! I love the color consistency of his blanket along with the consistant micron from shoulder to rear which attributes to the "softness" factor. Straight legs, perfect bite and a well proportioned body round out this herdsire.
His grand-sire is the fabulous grey male from Alpacas of America, Legacy De Bolivia. He also carries genetics from Peruvian Macusani (one of the premier, full Peruvian grey studs in the USA). Oncore was brought to Vintage Alpacas to breed to Socosani offspring bringing in a diverse set of grey genetics for future generations.
