Carabella is owned by Oliver Brown and Becky Roof and is offered here exclusively via The Secret Meadow program of Close-Knit Alpacas. This alpaca may be purchased individually, or as part of a super Collection of quality alpacas ideally suited for your breeding program.

This full Bolivian dam is the daughter of Cappoccino, a son of Acero Marka's Straight Arrow and the imported dam, Harrietta of Bolivia B8504 IMPP98. Her dam is Heidi of Bolivia B8524 IMPP98 (also an import). Her full sister, Annabelle, is also on this sales list.

Carabella is a solid, well-boned female with very good conformation and an upright, elegant presence. Her owner, Becky, says "Carabella is a calm alpaca," whose place in the the pecking order of her group is not at the top but not at the bottom, either....she's placed herself about "middle" of the herd. When I asked Oliver and Becky to please - in one word - describe Carabella most aptly, they replied with "easy-going." They added that "she is not really happy with herd health, but once she is haltered she is very easy to work with."

Carabella's fleece is a very pretty white, with a "very long staple length," according to her owners.

Becky went on to say that Carabella "breeds easily, but is hard to get pregnant. She has had a cria so she is proven but she did not get pregnant last spring. We are trying again soon."
