Lambda Soo is a full Bolivian half-sister to Harmony Ranch's Annabelle and Harmony Ranch's Carabella (they share the same dam). This girl's sire is an Acero Marka's Sinabar son known as DOMINION SIRE who was born in Canada. Dominion Sire's dam is a white Bolivian by the name of Acero Marka's Fontana. Lambda Soo's dam is Heidi of Boliva, an import.
Lambda Soo's fiber is a bright white. I asked Becky to describe it in more detail and she replied, "Her fleece has great density and lock structure." These are wonderful traits to have on a production dam.
When discussing Lambda Soo's temperament, Becky says she's "...a tiny bit stand-offish with humans. She gets along great with alpacas. She's not bossy or pushy. She also stays with the herd and minds her own business." No wonder the other alpacas like her! She's "in the top half" of the pecking order, probably due to just these wonderful personality traits! When it comes to herd health and handling for that, Becky says, "She prefers a little distance between herself and people, but once she is caught and haltered she is easy to work with." Described in a word? "Happy!" Can't complain about that, eh?
Lambda Soo has successfully delivered one cria (male) & had ample milk, a textbook delivery & proved a very attentive mom.
