  Alpaca Heights Midnight Pacer
    True Black, 837658, Peruvian

True Black, 837658, Full Peruvian son out of a light fawn dam. His density and crimp will win you over. His newly shorn fiber was entered in the National competition in Kentucky to see how he compared with other blacks across the country and I'm please to say that he took second behind a Colorado born Black Hawk son.

Another National winner for Pacer in February 2005 with a 5th place showing out of 15 entries in the Spin off competition at the National F2F Conference in Georgia.

Note - Charlotte and Dee Dee's descriptions are very similar because they are like twins :-)

Charlotte is a bay black full Peruvian female (She really should have been marked as a true black on her registration) who is very attached to her sister (Dee Dee is her full sister). The original breeder did such a great job with one breeding that they went for it twice :-) She is a Midnight Express granddaughter and a Gold Rush great granddaughter. Both Charlotte and her sister are reserved but eager to please and are really well behaved on herd health day. One thing striking about Charlotte and her sister is that when you put them on a lead to go for a walk they feel the need to prance. It is actually quite beautiful to watch!

We are going to be doing her histogram in April and as soon as we get the results we will upload them as well as before and after pics on shearing day, full weights on blanket, neck and leg fiber and photos of the fiber. Samples of her fiber will be available in May and we will happily send them to you upon request. Her fiber is a deep rich black color and should be quite beautiful when it is spun into yarn. We don't expect a heavy blanket but somewhere in the vicinity of 2 - 3 pounds.

Charlotte is currently 171 pounds carries herself quite well. Her and her sister have the straightest spines I have ever seen on alpacas. They are almost regal in their presentation and we really hope that attribute carries over to their crias.

We have performed vision and hearing tests on Charlotte and she passed perfectly. She does need her teeth trimmed once a year when she is sheared but other than that she is good to go.

All of our alpacas are healthy and handled daily. We believe in complete honesty and integrity and we are very transparent in regards to health records, fiber, personality, heritage, etc... We want our customers to leave our farm knowing that they got the best possible alpaca for their needs at the best possible price.

Thank you for checking out Charlotte! Updated pictures soon!!
