Like father, like son. Meet Captain Stellar true black full Peruvian son out of a light fawn dam. His density and crimp will win you over. His newly shorn fiber was entered in national competition in Kentucky to see how he compared to other blacks around the country and I'm pleased to say he took 2nd behind a Colorado born Black Hawk son. If you like extreme proud carriage with large bone and exquisite fiber, either Pacer or his sire, Captain Midnight are great choices!

Dee Dee is a true black full Peruvian female who is very attached to her sister (Charlotte is her full sister). The original breeder did such a great job with one breeding that they went for it twice :-) She is a Midnight Express granddaughter and a Gold Rush great granddaughter. Both Dee Dee and her sister are reserved but eager to please and are really well behaved on herd health day. One thing striking about Dee Dee and her sister is that when you put them on a lead to go for a walk they feel the need to prance. It is actually quite beautiful to watch!

We are going to be doing her histogram in April and as soon as we get the results we will upload them as well as before and after pics on shearing day, full weights on blanket, neck and leg fiber and photos of the fiber. Samples of her fiber will be available in May and we will happily send them to you upon request. Her fiber is a deep rich black color and should be quite beautiful when it is spun into yarn. We don't expect a heavy blanket but somewhere in the vicinity of 2 - 3 pounds.

Dee Dee is currently 166 pounds carries herself quite well. Her and her sister have the straightest spines I have ever seen on alpacas. They are almost regal in their presentation and we really hope that attribute carries over to their crias.

We have performed vision and hearing tests on Dee Dee and she passed perfectly. She does need her teeth trimmed once a year when she is sheared but other than that she is good to go.

All of our alpacas are healthy and handled daily. We believe in complete honesty and integrity and we are very transparent in regards to health records, fiber, personality, heritage, etc... We want our customers to leave our farm knowing that they got the best possible alpaca for their needs at the best possible price.

Thank you for checking out Dee Dee! Updated pictures soon!!
