Joy's sire is the famous maroon Cantano of Peru -- the highest selling suri alpaca at auction at $265,000. But Joy doesn't just get her color from her sire, she also has beautiful color on her dam's side with 4Peruvian Cassandra. Cassandra is the dam of Alpaca's of America's well known Peruvian herd sire, Fajardo. She has superb conformation and lots of luster in her fiber.
Joy's exquisite lineage doesn't stop with her world famous sire and the notable Fajardo herd sire from her dam. Joy's full brother (same sire & same dam) is an up and coming herdsire at Alpacas of America named Cantano's Pride. Pride is not available for outside breedings and was the recommending service sire for multiple auction lots in the January 2005 America's Production Auction in Las Vegas.
Needless to say Joy is exceptional herself. She has tight locks to the skin, very nice density and beautiful rich color. She also has proper conformation with straight legs, a square back, and correct proportions. She has a lifetime of offspring in front of her.
