Peruvian Hot Chocolate

Dark Silver Grey, 809977, Full Peruvian
|
|
| | | Hot Chocolate is a rare full Peruvian, dark silver grey suri female. Her dam is true black, and her sire is an unknown Peruvian.
Hotties strong color genes have allowed her to throw crias that are 3+ shades darker than her service sire. She has delivered three dark colored suris in three years, including a medium brown/maroon pinto when bred to white, a bay black when bred to dark fawn, and another bay black when bred to dark maroon.
Hottie has very nice lock structure, good square conformation, and a likable temperament. When experience breeders visit the farm, they are always attracted to Hottie.
In early November, Hottie was exposed to Peruvian Vivaldi, our multi-blue ribbon winning dark maroon male. This combination produced a show quality male who will be in the show circuit next Spring.
UPDATE: Hottie has been confirmed pregnant with a positive ultrasound. She is due October 5 of this year.

| | | Full Peruvian Vivaldi is a multiple first place winner, with blue ribbons in both halter and fleece classes. He also has won a blue ribbon for "Best Hand" -- roughly the equivalent to a Grand Champion ribbon in fleece competition -- since it is the judge's #1 choice out of all the fleeces at a show.
Vivaldi displays attitude, presence, and a strong suri phenotype. He has a strong conformation, correct proportions, a square back, straight legs, even hocks, and a good bite.
With definition to the skin, Vivaldi's dark maroon pencil locks offer curls of a rare color. In fact, maroon is so rare in alpacas, that the color was officially removed from the ARI color chart due to insufficient alpacas being registered as possessing the color (ARI now includes maroon alpacas in the brown category). The most expensive alpaca in the world -- who sold for over $250,000 -- is maroon.
Vivaldi's sire is known for throwing award-winning suri offspring and has contributed exce
