PPPeruvian Molly
White, 138828, Full Peruvian
PPPeruvian Molly, beloved Matriarch of Dancing Wind Alpacas, lost her battle with the far-reaching spread during fall 2007 of the "ARDS" virus (Alpaca Respiratory Disease Syndrome) and died from complications of pneumonia, December 19, 2007 at nearly 14 years of age. I am still devistated and miss her desperately, as I know do the "other girls". I occasionally catch daughters Gen or Mariah standing in the barn, seemingly in contemplation or perhaps just "remembering" a special moment with their Mom. Molly was an excellent and protective dam, had easy, unassisted births and provided ample milk, supporting cria growth of .5 to 1 pound per day. She has left a tremendous legacy in her sons and daughters born at Dancing Wind: Renegade and Armani, Ms Genevieve, Grace and Mariah, and in her grandson Taku and granddaughter Luna. I always felt blessed by her presence and honored beyond measure to be her "shepherdess". Though Molly is buried at Dancing Wind, I know her spirit spends "time"
Presidio is perhaps the finest-producing son of Accoyo Caligula, and his dam, 3Peruvian Senna, is a fawn from the Solocotta region of Peru. He now has 6 "Get of Sire" wins to his credit & was 2nd in "Get of Sire" at the 2004 National Show, in what Judge Mike Safely called the "best Get of Sire class" he'd ever judged. At last count his crias had over 50 color championships and 80 blue ribbons, and Presidio is only 7 years of age. His daughter Xanadu P. Donno Bello, had the White Color Champion Fleece at the 2004 AOBA show, too.
We will not offer outside breedings to Presidio after 2005 and his breeding fee will be $5,000 for the 2005 breeding season.
Presidio's fleece combines deep amplitude crimp, incomparable brightness, density and staple length. He sheared over 11.9 punds of fleece at fourth shearing with a 7.9 pound blanket. He consistently passes his heavy bone, correct structure, perfect bite and reproductive capacity to his kids.
Shearing Weight 2006: 8.9 lbs. AFD 24.1, SD 4.2, CV 17.4 PREGNANT 2008: Certified Sorted, Blanket Grade 2, Neck Grade 3, Brightness 9 out of 10, Density 8 out of 10, Uniformity of Lock/Crimp Style 9 out of 10, 6.6lbs.
Ms Genevieve is boarding at: Windrush Alpacas in Clovis, NM

Ms Genevieve is a truly gorgeous and impressive daughter of the renowned Peruvian Presidio and PPPeruvian Molly. Her conformation is impeccable and her disposition is very sweet. Gen's fleece remains fine yet exceptionally dense with medium frequency/medium amplitude crimp from skin to tip, even after giving birth three times. Her fleece also exhibits wonderful brightness. Gen's newest daughter is by Nova's Black Knight III, a magnificent true black out of the renowned Snowmass herd, with fleece that excels in fineness, brightness, handle, character and uniformity. She has always settled in one breeding, has birthed easily and is a protective, loving Mom, producing an abundance of milk for her cria.
Gen is currently being leased by Windrush Alpacas of Clovis, New Mexico (transferred from Llano Soleado Alpacas) and bred to the amazing Snowmass Andean Night. From this breeding should come an outstanding cria of color!
Awards Received Fourth Place in an extremely tough yearling class at the 2005 Level V GWAS, judged by Amanda VandenBosh. Her comment when she opened up Gen's fleece was "WOW"!
Reserve Color Champion at the 2005 GWAS for her tui fleece.
