Dom Lucilio
Beige, 183891, Peruvian
HIGHEST SELLING ALPACA IN THE WORLD! Dom Lucilio is the son of two of the most highly regarded gene pools in South America. His famous sire, Accoyo Royal Fawn, has a history of passing on his fine-fibered genetics to his offspring. Dom's full Peruvian Dam, Finesse, owned by Ann Sullivan, has an outstanding production record. With the best of both worlds in his lineage, this American-born herd sire has offspring dominating show rings from coast to coast in every color group. Different judges have selected one of his sons as champion five times. At the 2003 AOBA National Fleece Show, Dom Lucilio's offspring won 14 awards! And he has yet to show his full potential!
Shearing Weight 2006: Santa Clara's total shear weight this year was an incredible 11.0 pounds! 2007: She's still packing on the fiber as a breeding female ... Clara gave us over 9 pounds of gorgeous fleece this year!
Santa Clara is our MILLION DOLLAR BABY! Her sire, Dom Lucilio, is the 2004 record-setting male who sold for $400,000. Then, in 2005, her grand sire, Accoyo Royal Fawn, set a new world record when he sold for $600,000. You do the math! Her dam was purchased for her solid frame, conformation and true black color & then bred to "Luke" hoping to result in the quality of colored fleece for which many strive & desire. Well, that pairing certainly worked!
Clara has her dams and her sires quiet dispositions. At her first show, she calmly paced around the ring and collected her first blue ribbon at six months of age and moved up to the front row when her sister was named Color Champion. Then Clara calmly accepted her Reserve Black Female Color Championship!
Clara has the soft, dense fleece and excellent conformation youd expect to find at Parris Hill Farm. Her '05 fleece brought home a ribbon from each 2006 show in which it was entered.
In 2007, Clara presented us with Santa Lucia, a stunning brown female cria out of our Color Champion Camelot son, Challenger. Santa Lucia has black points and an incredible staple (just like her sire!). Challenger has put some incredible, ribbon-winning cria on the ground and Lucia is no exception. We're very proud that she has placed in every show she's entered so far.
In 2008, Santa Clara gave us another beautiful female, PH Commander's Santa Vitoria, out of our true black, multiple Color Champion, PH Navigator's Commander. We can't wait for her debut!
Ultimately, one of these 3 females (Clara, Lucia or Vitoria) from the Royal Fawn line will remain in our foundation herd.
