He is clearly one of the richest colored full Accoyo males in the country. Out of Accoyo Victor, whose fleece and offspring are Legendary, he glows like a light is shining from inside his fleece. Maggie Krieger judged his fleece at Nationals in 2002, and moved it out of the fawn class into the Rose Grey class after taking it outside to check his color carefully. His density and staple length pull together for some of the most magnificent fleece weights on record (14.5 lbs--we shear him every six months now). At age six, his CV is 16.2, micron 24 with an absence of guard hair. With over 30 cria (and another 30 due next year), he is throwing silver and rose grey out of solid dams, many black cria, and often darkens the dams color. The crimp, bundling and shine is profound. Now Co-Owned with John and Shannon Ellis of Alpacas of Misty Ridge.
CA Annie (half accoyo black!)
Listed at $1500 by Kim Rassi & of Brooklyn Heights, OH
Annie is a beautiful true black female with dense, crimpy fleece. She has big strong leg bones and a cute, typey face with white markings. Annie's sire, Accoyo Mcgwire (the only full accoyo rose grey), has been a fabulous producer of rose grey and grey offspring -- coming out of the Accoyo Victor lineage (medium fawn full accoyo). Her dam, is a full chilean medium brown from Stachowski alpacas. Annie carries genetics that may produce some outstanding black fleeces.
Annie has had her cria from Jetson (From Sugartown Alpacas) He is a light fawn male with yinbeautiful crimp and density. That was a total surprise... fawn from 2 blacks. Her 2007 cria is a true black female out of Socosani, and she is a beauty! Heavily boned, straight and shiney black fleece. Her 2009 cria is a true black male out of Vertigo. He is shiney and has beautiful fleece quality and perfect conformation. For 2011 Annie has been bred to Peruvian Fleetwood Black, our amazing black son of Action Jaxon. in hopes of a nice black cria fall 2011 - delivered a beautiful TB female cria November 2011 - not a white fiber anywhere! Beautiful crimp, soft and super straight with LONG LONG legs!!
She was bred on the left ovary folicle (2010 for 2011 cria).... and those of you who know me have heard me toot about the success of female cria coming off the left ovary folicle. The FEMALE cria is included in this sale. I will rebreed Annie (she is not bred yet) to the male of your choice at my farm, including Fleetwood Black for free, or another awesome choice is Ariel (a 1st place true black out of Round Midnight from the Presidio line resides at Crias Del Cielo Farm)). Annies sale includes free board until she is 45 days pregnant, and confirmed by ultrasound. My boarding fee is only $3.50 per day after the 45 days. Birthing is free, so if Annie wanted to stay to give birth in 2013 you could arrange that too.
Awards Received Annies cria is named Vintage Black Beauty. She is exactly what I wanted to see from this pairing. Not a white fiber on her. True Black.... blue black... no brown fading on her cria tips. Straight legs, crimpy, dense and soft fiber. I am not seeing much guard hair at all, and I am very pleased by this as most blacks have guard hair sticking up all over making a "halo" effect. Beauty is fitting.
