Summer is a full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo proven dam. Her sire, the late Bruxo, is well-known among seasoned suri breeders. Her fleece is a beautiful shade of light fawn and exhibits luster, good lock definition and volume. She has excellent coverage and her conformation is second to none. Summer consistently stamps this superb conformation and heavy bone on to all of her crias as well as good lock definition and luster, total coverage and that very desirable wedge-shaped head.
She is a reliable dam who gets pregnant and births easily. She is an attentive mother with plenty of milk.
Summer is easy to handle due to her wonderful temperament and would be perfect for those just starting out in the industry. It is a common event to see her "pronking" through the pasture especially at dusk. She gets the whole herd started and it is really quite a fun sight to behold! She is a very happy and healthy alpaca.
We are currently keeping Summer open for now for two reasons. One, so her new buyer can make the breeding decision for next year and two, since we have limited space here on our farm, we simply must reduce the number of cria arrivals for 2010. Summer is, however, a quality female who produces superb offspring year after year and really should not be kept open for long. She is being sold with her 2009 male cria, Ghirardelli, at side. He is 1/4 accoyo, full-peruvian born on August 26, 2009 and has deep, rich color which comes from his sire, SBS Phantom of Sweet Briar owned by Alpacas of Gettysburg and his grandsires Fine Threads Jax and Magnifico. We were hopeful that Summer would allow color to come through and she has proved that in a big way with this cria!
