White, 838551, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Kalabasa is a beautiful female with gorgeous fiber and great conformation. Kalabasa has had 4 healthy offspring, 2 females and 2 males. Bred to My Peruvian Zephyrus (full Peruvian, multi-blue ribbon winner and color champion), she gave birth to Mr. Butterscotch, a grey male (IGG 2300) on September 15, 2005, who won blue at PAOBA in his shorn class and in fall '06 was awarded the blue ribbon, this time in full fleece (2006 SEPA). We repeated the breeding to My Peruvian Zephyrus again, hoping for another grey....and, we were rewarded September 14, 2006 with a female this time!!! Cookies and Cream is grey as well.

Kalabasa gave birth September 8, 2007 to Goldie Hawn, a fiesty fawn female cria, sired by our co-owned herdsire Snowmass Legacy's Golden Boy. She's gorgeous and has phenomenal fleece, crimpy with luster galore. We repeated the breeding with Golden Boy and last year she gave us Boy oh Boy.

This year Kalabasa is due October 2009; she is bred to our blue ribbon wi

El Cine of Peru S240 AOA
    White, 802508

El Cine is a striking Peruvian Huacaya herd sire with super fine and extremely crimpy fiber. Not only is he covered all the way down all four legs, he also boasts a full-fleeced face clear to his nostrils. He is a prime example of Alpacas of America’s tried and true breeding program. Son of Peruvian Mr. President, El Cine looks very much like his sire. Besides his aesthetic appeal, El Cine also boasts absolutely phenomenal fiber statistics. His average fiber diameter is an astounding 16 microns as well as a standard deviation of 3.7 microns, a coefficient of variation of 23.1% and a remarkable 0.8% over 30 microns. El Cine is sure to add the best in fiber coverage and fineness to your herd.
