A full Alianza daughter of one of the most famous alpacas of all time, Peruvian Bueno. Bueno is an all-time leading winner of the prestigious Get-of-Sire classes. Miss Sasha is a credit to her sire, with great bone, correct conformation, and abundant amounts of dense fiber.
Her dam is our treasured Alianza-Machaccoyo import, Natusha, who contributes her genes for longevity, milking ability, and excellent nurturing instincts - along with lovely fiber, good coverage and density. But, we have to say that Miss Sasha looks like "daddy's girl"!
Medium Silver Grey, 820837, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
A 2X Blue ribbon winner, this awesome Caligula grandson exhibits great presence and superb fiber quality.
Radar comes from one of the first highly respected gray breeding programs in the United States, Alan & Leah Dewald at Alpacas of Canyon Ridge. Radar has been used extensively at Marquita Ranch Alpacas in CO, and they are delighted with the results: "He added color to our herd: rose gray, silver gray, black, and brown; while adding fineness, density, and crimp frequency to our fleeces."
Sired by a Caligula son, his dam is a Pewter. Jr duaghter. Radar is an excellent example of pulling together the fineness and density of his Peruvian heritage, with the richness of color, (grays and true blacks), from his dam's Chilean heritage.
His disposition is very quiet, and he is extremely easy to handle.
GREY female cria at side included! Or available individually.
A quality black female from a quality pedigree: a Bueno granddaughter, sired by a GREY Accoyo Caligula grandson. Two time blue ribbon winner.
Sells with breeding to Snowmass Nova.
With correct conformation and bite, she has the substantial body and bone you would expect from her heritage. A typey head, excellent coverage, and showy 'presence' complete the picture.
Black is among the rarest of alpaca colors, and cannot be created 'off the alpaca' by blending fiber of different colors. (Fawn is the most common alpaca color.)
Sire - Radar O'Rielly is a Caligula grandson. The late Accoyo Caligula was one of the best sires in the country, whose get have wonderful density, fleece character, and staple length. Radar is also a 3/4 brother to the dam of Futurity Champion 'Decon Grey'!!!
Dam - a wonderful Bueno daughter. According to owner Mike Tierney of Maple Brook Farm, the Alianza import Peruvian Bueno was the all-time leading winner of the prestigious Get of Sire classes. The genes of these great sires are desirable in any color, but are especially treasured in a black.
Fiber - In the Black has a lovely fleece: dense, silky and bright! *See her fleece under our Fiber Lots: "Black and silky". Her fiber is true black, with a touch of brown behind her elbows and in the flanks. She has a small patch of grey on her right shoulder. She will be an asset to anyone breeding for top quality in black or grey.
After sending her away for two times for breeding (unsuccessfully) she 'settled' right away when bred to MachuPichu here at our farm - and delivered a bay black female cria on 9/24/09! Her '10 cria is a brown male sired by Maple Brook Bolero. We left her open for '11, and bred her to MachuPicchu for 2012.
See her brother, MRA Gabriel's Promise at Marquita Ranch Alpacas, on AN.
