Cleo, one of our herds charmers with a wonderful temperament, started collecting ribbons in very competitive white halter classes in the Spring of 2001. Her dam & sire are Blue Ribbon winners in the Produce & Get Classes at the 2001 Extravaganza. Cleo has superior conformation and full coverage. Her pure white, dense fleece has a soft handle. Cleos first cria is a gorgeous, large-boned white female (Kingsley, sired by Accoyo Peruvian Legacy) who has won four Blue Ribbons and a Reserve Championship. Her second cria, PH Casanovoa's Christianna (a Caligula granddaughter) has already brought home ribbons for us in her early show career. Cleome sells bred to the PHF Multiple Color Champion Herd Sire, The Aga Khan.
Casanova exemplifies the phenotypic qualities that made his late and great father the most famous herdsire in North America. If you are seeking a male with the elite fiber to pair with your very finest females, search no further. Casanovas fleece statistics can stand on their own, but know also that he has a bright fleece and locks from head to toes to tail. Caligulas Casanova is half-Accoyo and half-Alianza through sire and dam the Caligula line is known for crossing beautifully with the finest Alianza lines, the result being a fleece that sets the standard. Casanovas commanding presence, even at this age, and his absolutely gorgeous head, make him a stand-out in our pastures.
More important than any show placings -- and Caz's blue ribbons are worth crowing about -- is the consistency of his offspring, which started arriving in September of this year. All bear his signature short, deep muzzle and complete fiber head, his coverage to the toes. Even more exciting are
SOLD ! Thank you Ruth & Gary of Tribute Alpaca Farm!
This solid 3/4 Peruvian (1/2 Accoyo, 1/2 Alianza) girls fleece cracks all over whenever she moves. Christy displays the density, brightness and handle expected of an elite white.
Her dam, Cleome, has shined for us in the show ring. Cleo is ½ Accoyo, is the dam of our PH Legacys Kingsley (a multiple Blue Ribbon/Color Champion female that we sold at the 2004 AOBA Auction for an incredible price as a maiden).
Cristy's sire Casanova, a Caligula son, exemplifies the phenotypic qualities that made his late, great father one of the most famous herd sire in North America and hes passed these qualities on to his daughter. We havent done fiber stats on Cristys fleece yet, but here are her sire's (2002): MC: 16.3, SD: 3.1 CV: 18.7%, >30: 0.1%. Casanovas show placings are indicative of the quality he represents. The range of judges that have placed him first at shows since he began showing as a juvenile include Maggie Krieger, Dr. Julio Sumar, Kristin Buhrmann and Mike Safley.
Christianna has also excelled in front of some of these same judges and has given us a handsome cria (who sold before weaning) out of our multiple Color Champion brown herd sire, Garrison!
