If the proof of a dam or herdsire is in their progeny then Hollyberry has all the proof that is needed. I cannot emphasize what a great production female Hollyberry is for us and the other farms she has been at. She produces blue ribbon cria in lovely colors. If you are looking for grey check out Hollyberry's cria. Evenstar her 2004 cria just won a blue ribbon at the Empire Extravaganza 2005. (check her out on our site). She is a lovely Light Rose Grey alpaca with lovely light brown coloring on her legs. Hollyberry's newest cria Schaherazade (Yupanqui granddaughter) is dark brown and I'm holding my breath to see if she is turning that much sought after dark rose grey with no tuxedo. Dr. Pepper her one boy won a blue ribbon at his first show - which just happened to be Mapaca. You can see his picture here. He is now breeding and has confirmed pregnancies. Teaberry (her first cria) with a lovely lavender cast to her fleece has turned into a terrific production female also. Hollyber

Schaherazade is named for the Arabian Princess who saved her life for over 1000 nights by telling tales and dancing for the king. For those literary romanticists her name invokes sultry nights, incense, mysterious music, and flickering flames forming a moving tapestry along the heated sands.

Our Schaherazade was born in stifling heat of a late September afternoon. A day that had no business being that hot! She was over two weeks early, but weighed in at 16.5 pounds. Her first day was fraught with heat and then some trouble. She somehow got stuck between 2 panels and stayed there for awhile. She never lost her spunk. She got to milking right away, and by that night was dancing around the barn. And has been dancing ever since.

Schaherazade was born to Hollyberry. Her Sire is Peruvian Mr. Cuddels (his very first cria) a son of the great accoyo Yupanqui. She is a lovely rich brown color - almost a taupe. She has a marvelous fleece with a fine handle and nice even crimp. She is a wonderful addition to our herd! You will love her rich lovely color.
