Co-owned with Pleasant Hills Alpacas, El Viento is 3/4 Accoyo sired by the outstanding PPeruvian Caligula. El Viento's crias are showing the same remarkable density, conformation and personality as their sire. As a general rule he has thrown the color of the dam with the only exception being when bred to a true black, he threw silver grey. El Viento's density (sheared 14.5 lbs. in 2004) increases every year and if you're looking to add density, crimp and fineness to your cria, El Viento should be your choice. El Viento's crias are starting to make an impact in the show ring.

This year one of our El Viento cria took 2nd place in a very competitive white class at AOBA Nationals. We also have a daughter who can be seen when you visit El Viento.

Limited Offer: If two or more breedings are made at the same time, El Viento's fee is $1500 for each breeding. Breedings can be spread out to fit your needs.

Another Girl! On April 21,2010 Solana easily gave birth to a white Snowstorm daughter who was running around the pasture 20 minutes after birth.

Solana is a beautiful girl with an impressive pedigree. She is 5/8 Accoyo who gave us Sundrop, a fawn beauty(sold), out of her first breeding to Lily's Accoyo Dupioni.

We repeated the breeding and were surprised with twins. Solana proved herself to be an exemplary mother. Those babies were up in about 1/2 hour and nursing. There was never a question in her mind whose babies they were.

Her breeding to PHA Accoyo Stratosphere produced a handsome, dense, crimpy, 21#, 3/4 accoyo white boy, High Flier (sold), on 5/13/08.

She was held open over the summer (deciding on a boy/not any health related issues) and we bred her in the fall. This spring's ultrasound showed she was open so I bred her to Eastwind's Snowstorm before he headed west to Colorado.

Since we didn't know he would be leaving I was glad Solana was open so I could breed her to Snowstorm for the time he was here.

We've fully depreciated her so it's time to sell. Could be a great deal for you. I also have the Snowstorm genetics in other alpacas.

As with many of our females, Solana has not been rebred due to the slow economy, but has more than proven herself.
