Sue is our herd matron. Each year she easily carries and delivers a healthy cria with IgG averaging around 3000. She has an abundance of milk and each cria has been extremely hardy. Sue has five females and four males. You can find pictures of her cria that reside on our farm on this page, as well as individual listings for Sofi and Cedar Rose. Sue gave birth to a healthy female cria, med. brown with white accents (Rose Gray blanket fleece) in late June, 2009 - Shiloh's Cedar Rose. Her 2010 cria is a sturdy female - Gisele, with very dense, crimpy, fine lt rose gray fleece. Schedule a farm visit and check out Sue and her offspring.
If you are looking for hardy genetics, you can't go wrong if you choose Sue or one of her offspring. Better yet, if you are just beginning your herd, Sue would be a great starter... experienced mom, easily bred, and to date problem free deliveries with extra hardy crias. She can be bred to Peruvian Draco for '13, with an additional future breeding to your choice of Harmony Hill Herdsires.
***UPDATE: WE JUST COMPLETED SHEARING AND SORTING OUR FLEECE. ALL FIVE OF SUE'S CRIAS BORN WHILE WE HAVE OWNED HER HAVE FLEECE THAT WAS SORTED AND DESIGNATED TEXTILE ROSE GRAY. EVERYONE OF THE FIVE HAD BROWN, BLACK AND WHITE FIBERS IN BLANKET AND NECK FIBER....So if your goal is to start or add rose gray genetics to your herd, Sue is the lady to do it!!!
Awards Received Sue's offspring have done very well in National Spin-offs. 2007 AOBA National Spinoff: Sofi - First Place 2006 ARI Fiber to Fashion Spinoff: Black Rogue - Third Place Gage, Black Rogue, BJ's Gunnar and Grey Ghost for placed in all Halter Shows that they were entered in.
