Light Fawn, 166850, Full Peruvian

|
| | | 4Peruvian Josefina is an exemplary illustration of the fine-fleeced alpacas from the Kenamari region of Peru. She is a wonderful mother with exquisite fleece and lock structure.
Her previous cria has the same excellent fleece and is a beautiful dark maroon female that placed first at the 2001 MaPACA Jubilee(largest alpaca show then with almost 1000 alpacas).
When Josefina has been bred to color, she has thrown color. To capitalize on this, we've bred her to our dark maroon, multiple blue ribbon winning herdsire, Peruvian Vivaldi.

Dark Brown, 821533, Full Peruvian

| | | Full Peruvian Vivaldi is a multiple first place winner, with blue ribbons in both halter and fleece classes. He also has won a blue ribbon for "Best Hand" -- roughly the equivalent to a Grand Champion ribbon in fleece competition -- since it is the judge's #1 choice out of all the fleeces at a show.
Vivaldi displays attitude, presence, and a strong suri phenotype. He has a strong conformation, correct proportions, a square back, straight legs, even hocks, and a good bite.
With definition to the skin, Vivaldi's dark maroon pencil locks offer curls of a rare color. In fact, maroon is so rare in alpacas, that the color was officially removed from the ARI color chart due to insufficient alpacas being registered as possessing the color (ARI now includes maroon alpacas in the brown category). The most expensive suri alpaca at public sale -- who sold for over $250,000 -- is maroon.
