She is a very easy to care for alpaca: a gentle matriarch to the herd crias, an easy breeder, and a healthy girl. We are fond of her, as she is one of the first alpacas that we had purchased, and we have a healthy mutual trust. So, we are offering one of our best production girls for you. With her solid breeding and health records, she is a good foundation girl for starting or fast growing herds.

* PROVEN: Productive foundation dam! No issues breeding, holding pregnancies, birthing, or nursing.

* HANDLING: Easy to handle for everyday medical care, such as vaccinations.

* GREAT PERSONALITIES: Her crias are curious and easy to handle, which is a boon for taking weights and giving herd care.

* SUPERB MOTHERING SKILLS: Attentive and protective, but you can handle her cria.

* EXCELLENT HEALTH: She has never having had any health issues. Her strong conformation is perfectly straight and square. She is not frail and has the touted ‘birthing’ girdles that judges love in girls.

* BITE: Her bite alignment is sound. Her teeth had been allowed to grow too long sometime in the past and now needs periodic trimming. This is unrelated to her good molar/ jaw alignment. Her crias’ bites have been fine.

* FIBER: Consistently and persistently fine fibered, maintaining her fineness despite several pregnancies. She has improved fleece characteristics in all her crias – extending their length, density and crimp without losing her fine handle. Her crias are all impressively long stapled and lustrous with good crimp and density, while possessing her fineness.

* COLOR: Her fiber color is a beautiful dark maroon-brown that is set off by white markings on her jaw. Her crias have all been of dark coloration even when sired by white: DB, MB, MB, TB, BB, MB. Only two have had similar white facial markings.
