Maximus is a good sized male with beautiful fleece. His 2004 micron count was a 15.5 with a standard deviation of 3.9 - not bad for a 3 year old! He also boasts a strong crimp. We bred him to two females last year, and we were thrilled with the resulting 2 female cria. Sadly, we lost the first little medium fawn girl due to a premature birth and issues with the dam, but the second, Penelope (born 9/14,) is pictured. She has dense, fine, crimpy fleece - very much a vicuna style, great conformation, a lovely head and a sweet disposition. Maximus boasts only 3 males in his pedigree: Vengador as his sire, Legacy as his grandsire, and Hemingway as his great grandsire. If you just have 3, what a group to have! We plan to use Max more in our breeding program. If you have a female that needs fineness, Grazing Hills Maximus is the boy for the job!

This feminine little beauty is our first example of what Grazing Hills Maximus can produce. Penelope is conformationally correct with delicate features. She has a perfect bite, and her fiber is stunning. It is formed into tight little bundles, which show bright and crimpy when separated. We expect the micron count to come back as our lowest, and we have quite a few in the teens. Penelope's pedigree is nothing to sneeze at as Max boasts Vengador, Legacy, and Hemingway blood. She is a classic fading fawn with the strip down her back being quite dark. Come visit the farm and take a good look at this little lady!
