Sammy "works out" daily and his muscles have muscles! Our shearer said that she has never seen a more muscular alpaca male and she sheared thousands of alpacas during her short life (Always Remembered With Love Jodi Wever ... I still take a cup of hot coffee out for you the morning of shearing)!

Although the "proof is in the pudding" and Sammy produced cria the same color as their Dam, including TRUE BLACK, we had no room for another "must stay by themselves stud" on the farm, so we gelded him! He is still an excellent companion alpaca and still has excellent fleece and easy to handle.

Sammy is 1/2 Accoyo and has excellent coverage. A phenomenal aspect of Sammy is the fleece length of his blanket AND neck fiber. His blanket is still over 5" and his neck fiber length is 4"! He also has excellent uniform crimp and amplitude. Sammy has excellent uniformity of color and there is absolutely no secondary color contamination.

Sammy has taken numerous 1st Place ribbons in Halter, Fleece and Shorn Classes.
