Described by a prominent judge as the perfect alpaca, El Nino is the son of Peruvian Accoyo Caligula, All American Alpaca Futurity Herdsire of the Year and AOBA Get of Sire winner, and Peruvian Accoyo Sunipani, two time winner of the AOBA fleece show and Judges Choice of the AOBA fleece show. Of perfect alpaca type, El Nino is conformationally perfect, with good bone and dramatic coverage. His fleece is extraordinarily dense and lustrous with crimp and character clear to his belly. El Nino's awards include:
All American Alpaca Futurity Herdsire of the Year 2005 1st Place Get of Sire 2004 AOBA National Show Senior Champion 2001 International Alpaca Odyssey Reserve Champion Y2K AOBA National 1st Place Y2K PNAA Show 1st Place 1999 CABA Show
Veronia, a full Accoyo El Nino (now deceased) daughter, is a nice and square female with deeply crimped, bold fiber and plenty of density.
Her 2007 male cria, Accoyo Andante', is a light fawn beauty with the brightest fiber we have ever seen and is now a working stud in NC. His crimp is very bundled with very high curvature to it. To that end, he has received a blue ribbon in every show he's been entered in--five to date. So, you can see she produces exceptional quality offspring with amazing fiber.
She had been bred to Accoyo Godfather for a fall 2010 offspring. This little Mafia Princess is bright, dense and crimpy.
For her 2011 breeding, we paired her with our full Accoyo Royal Fawn son, Royal Accolade. Royal Accolade has tremendous density to go along with his fine, matchstick bundling. The resulting male cria is a silky-fleeced youngster who is extremely curly with AMAZING brightness; bundles galore and exceptional brightness. His first histogram done in May 2012, when he was seven months of age, was the lowest on the farm at 15.8/3.0/18.7/0.2. He is a herdsire in the making.
Veronia will be bred this spring to either Prestige or Enterprise, both multi-champion PROVEN herdsires that we own. The decision will be yours to make! You may decide to shoot for color by breeding her to our MF full Accoyo herdsire, Enterprise. He has demonstrated lingering fineness and even this early in his breeding career, he is producing some very outstanding show winners. If you have a white program, then Prestige would be a great choice to produce a high-end white. Even at the age of 12, his histogram is 22.1/3.9/17.6/3.3% greater than 30. There is no wrong choice here... either one will give your breeding program a leg up.
Don't gamble by overlooking a proven female--a proven breeder and a proven mom. You should never take these attributes for granted.
