Peruvian Granite {sadly never shown, new farm} has a great pedigree with Accoyo Royal Fawn, {who sold for 600K and his son Dom Lucilio who sold for 400k}, and the late 4Peruvian Matador for grandsires. Granite's sire Prestige was an AOBA Nationals Blue Halter winner. Granite's name fits as he is a lustrous light fawn with grey throughout his prime fleece. He has proven his genetic color potential with four cria, three girls! An indefinite grey blue ribbon winner LWF Castinettes, LWF Black Veil, a "mini-me" light fawn/grey girl Whisper and {his only male} a gorgeous rosegrey LWF Chim. This male has BONE, outstanding head to toe coverage, and sires quality cria in color!
Veil has solid conformation, thick bone, fiber is lustrous, high frequency crimp with an incredible staple length, total head to grass coverage, in a gorgeous TRUE black with no spots.
Veil's pedigree carries the best of both worlds, her Peruvian sire is an Accoyo Royal Fawn and 4Peruvian black Matador {Deceased} grandson. Rhapsody her Chilean dam is not to be outdone since she comes from the all black and grey Silversmith and Karrington lines with the very well known, multi Blue ribbon winning Desparado as her sire. This is a colorful heritage coming down both sides!
Rhapsody, her dark silver grey dam, is an excellent producer of beautiful, ribbon winning colored cria, a great mom, easy breeder, and huge milker.
Peruvian Granite, Veils's sire was a gorgeous lustrous light fawn with an unusual indefinite grey all through his fiber, built like a battleship with extreme coverage. Granite's light fawn sire Prestige was an AOBA Halter Blue ribbon winner as a yearling. Granite was never shown as the farm was new. Veil's paternal sister LWF Castanets is a Blue ribbon winner in Halter.
Veil's two cria {sired by a dark brown and a white} exhibit excellent quality, outstanding type, presence and fleece. But make no mistake, this girl hails from a STRONG grey and black heritage, if bred with that in mind.
Awards Received 4th Place Juvi Black Halter VA Classic 2007 Judge Dianne Timmerman {out of 8 entries} {Veil was shown SOAKING wet from head to toe due to a rainstorm & a trailer panel leak. Amusingly we were offered a blank check for her while unloading "the most stunning black Suri" the breeder had ever seen, {Veil is a Huacaya}. Veil had a 5" staple length when shown as a juvi.
