Jacaya is a beautiful brown from a line of true blacks on her sire's side. Her sire IAOC Jeda's fleece is exceptional, especially for a black: 20MC, 24CV, 5 SD, 4%> 30. Jacaya's coverage is excellent, down to her toes. Her first cria, Xochitl ( listed here also) shows the outcome of good genetics. She's proven to be an excellent, attentive mother and is due the first week of October. She's currently bred to MSA Peruvian Cannonero, a Studmaster (TM) male.
NWA, Ltd. Focus
White, Peruvian
Focus in an excellent example of the characteristics of Studmaster males, able to pass on conformation and elite fleece characteristics.
Xochitl is a late summer 2005 cria, showing the results of breeding for good conformation and fine fleece. Her sire's fleece has all the characteristics of elite fleece: fineness, density and coverage. (NWA, Ltd. Focus has '04 shear weight of almost 12 lbs.) Focus, her sire, is an outstanding son of Studmaster (TM) male, 4Peruvian Accoyo Pachacuti 6001. Her grandsire, IAOC Jeda is black, so Xochitl has the potential of throwing a black cria. Her fleece is soft, dense and crimpy. As she has matured, her fleece is even more dense & soft, shearing 8.9 lbs of fleece in 2009 and 9.30 lbs in 2010. While her AFD is higher than some of our herd, her fleece has a very soft handle & is a rich, deep color.
