We bought Raindance as part of a package deal. We liked not only the way she looked, we already owned several others out of this same herdsire (Senor Bolivar) and with 4 reserve champions knew she'd be a great addition. Her first cria (Misty Rain of FMR) did not disappoint, Blue Ribbon at her first show at 7 months! Raindance is a very good mom, lots of milk and no trouble birthing. She had a very nice Light Brown female cria this spring (3rd and 4th pictures). Her third cria is a drop dead gorgeous MF female out of Ricochet. All of Ricochet's cria have incredible luster, coverage, lock, density...he's one great herdsire!
Exciting news! Ricochet's pinto male cria from fall '05 (FMR Samurai) won Color Campion in Denver's Great Western in May '06 and also just took 2nd at AOBA's National Show in Louisville 2 weeks later. We also just had another Ricochet cria, a super high luster (of course!) MF female out of a LF dam.
Ricochet is a Full Peruvian grandson of Inca Hoots. White with Med. Brown around his eyes and dark pigment in his nose and nails. He has some of the best lock and luster you'll see...and staple length, wow! Shorn at 18 months he had locks over 14" and at a show 3 months later planning to show for confirmation in the shorn class, he had grown too much and had to show full fleece! Shorn the second time 11 months later he had 9" locks. He settled his first females Sept. '03. The first picture is taken out in the pasture, no prep...look at the luster! His cria are exceptional! He puts a good suri head, great coverage (chin to toes), intense lock and very high luster on h
We have taken Rain Dancer out of out Foundation listing and have her on the sales list for the first time. We need to move some animals to make room for all the crias we're having, if we sell a few others first this one will stay part of our foundation herd. These Ricochet offspring are awesome!
Another in the line of "Rain Girls", and an exceptional Ricochet cria! Ricochet has really been doing the job for us, throwing exceptional luster, lock, coverage, density, and hand. This girl is no exception. Correct confirmationally in every way and nearly blinding luster. She has a very nice disposition, just like her sire. We're firm believers that personality traits are often genetic; sure nice to work with versus the "screamers and spitters"! As she matures and nears breeding age her price will likely go up...certainly not down...and it won't bother us one bit if she ends up part of the foundation herd.
Rain Dancer gave us a beautiful MB boy on 9/11, see picture. Birth was uneventful, a caring mom with good milk. She is rebred to Ringo and confirmed pregnant, due 10/13/09.

Service Sire: Awards Received 2nd place as the youngest in the class (again) behind Candlewood's half accoyo Rockstar son who took the Championship ribbon as well at the 2004 Michigan International Alpaca Fest. Ringo has placed well in the shows he has been in but due to his late birthday and always being the youngest and smallest in the class, he has stood in the shadow of the older and larger boys. He will grow up very soon into the show-quality herdsire he is and then be producing blue ribbon offspring for you. Ringo took 1st in the shorn class at the Mid-America Alpaca Show fall '05. Placed 3rd in the largest suri fleece show ever! Suri Network Fleece Show, Estes Park, '06
