Precious Gem is a joy to own. She has a very playful personality and is a real lovebug. Her very dense, crimpy fiber has won her a 4th place ribbon at the 2004 Eastern States Exposition Alpaca Show as well as a 6th place ribbon at the 2004 New England Coastal Classic show in Maine. She also won the blue ribbon in the 2005 Mapaca composite class and this was a fitting way to end her show career. She had her first cria in the spring of 2006 and has been an excellent mother with plenty of milk. Unfortunately, due to the difficult birth of that first cria, Gem suffered severe scarring and cannot have anymore cria. Therefore, she is priced as a companion animal and would be great for someone buying only one female and needs another female as a companion. Gem and her daughter, Corrina, are very close and would just love to stay together, if possible, but of course that doesn't necessarily have to be the case.
