Bay Black, 845428, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Hi. My name is Cocoas Darlene but I prefer just Darlene. My new owners came all the way from Kansas to pick me up in Graysville, OH because as many of you know it's hard to find a bay black beauty such as myself.

I have the full package: great confirmation, crimp and head to toe coverage. My first cria, Snowcap 2005, is pure white from a light silver grey sire. Snowcap has my bundling and crimp. His top knot is full and he also has complete coverage. Milkyway is my 2nd cria born October 06, sire is Paladin's Ricardo. He is a beautiful bay black with black facial features. Black Licorice is my 3rd cria, sire LSH Paladin.

I am a beauty bombshell with uncomplicated births.

I have been rebred to Paladin for a May 8, 2009 delivery.

Riccardo is one of those rare alpacas that seems to have it all. At the age of only 10 1/2 months, he placed first and then went on to take the Color Championship at the MOPACA Invitational Alpaca Show March 13, 2004. The judge commented that he had the "total package of comformation, crimp, consistency, coverage, density and had excellent architecture to his fleece." His density and crimp are breathtaking!

Riccardo's sire is my black herdsire, LSH Paladin. He has 13 crias on the ground (9 females and 3 males) and all have been medium to dark solid colors with his wonderfully dense, crimpy fleece. Two have won Color Championships and one has won a Reserve Color Championship. With Riccardo, I think he has actually outdone himself. Riccardo is just beginning his show career and he's off to a grand start!

Riccardo's first cria was just born. A lovely black female. Pictures will follow soon. I am now taking reservations for outside breedings for 2006 and 2007.
