Salutation's Sunflower

White, 842688, Full Peruvian

With a GREY sire and a DARK BROWN spot on her neck (which she has never passed on to her white crias sired by our white males), she belongs in a COLOR breeding program. Her eyes are dark.

Sunflower has produced amazing white crias for Sixth Day. Can you imagine the quality she would give you when bred to your favorite COLOR male?!

Good foundation females, like PPP Salutation and her daughter Sunflower, are few and far between. Only now that we have daughters of both Sunflower and her dam (sired by white males, which fits our program), can we let this big beautiful girl go.

Sire - 5Peruvian Granite was well known just a short time ago. In the 2007 Show Summaries, he ranked #1 among GREY 'Top Sires of the Top Dams', (the equivalent to broodmare sires in horses). In other words, his daughters produced more successful show winners than any other grey male.

Dam - PPP Salutation is an amazing female. Dense, fine, BRIGHT, with a silk-like handle, and

  Maple Brook Bravado
    White, 833417, Full Peruvian

An impressive pure Alianza Peruvian, Bravado is our foundation herdsire - in the true sense of the word, the male we have built our breeding program on.

This guy is fineness personified, with flawless conformation. His micron count at his ninth shearing was 21.8! Just look at the beautiful bundling in his fleece.

Bravado is the result of combining the finest and most proven Peruvian alpaca genetics in North America: Bueno and Hemingway. Bueno is owned by Mike & Robin Tierney of MapleBrook Farm. His stud fee was $10,000, until he stopped breeding about a year ago. Bueno has sired over 100 winning offspring, and we believe Bravado is one of his best.

Bravado's dam, NWA,Ltd Marcie contributes another line of proven superior genetics: the world famous Hemingway. Marcie's dam is Macarena, making her a full sister to well known sires Predictor, Hektor and Handsome.

Bravado's crias have fantastic fleeces! Don't take my word for it, come see for yourself.

This cute little girl is now a grown 'lady' with crias of her own. She has the beautiful, lustrous fleece with a magnificent handle that people have come to expect on Bravado's crias.

When we did shearing this year we had all of our fleece classed and sorted by a Certified Sorter, Carrie Hull, who graded her blanket all as grade one (the finest of six grades) and even the fiber of her neck was graded all as grade two. Carrie gave her excellent scores for brightness, for handle and for uniformity of crimp structure throughout her fleece.

You can see from her shorn photos that her conformation is excellent. All in all she is a beautiful Bravado daughter.

Her full sister is Bravado's Sunbeam.

Her 2012 EPDs:

If you take this girl home you will be happy! And I am pretty sure that the May cria she will have is going to be a knock-out too!
