| | | We are excited to announce that Dark Shaddow has been awarded 2006 Reserve Herdsire of the Year! Wow, what a male! Shaddow is what is considered truely an "IMPACT" male. Shaddow is one of the best true black males in the country. Fourteen awards including "Get of Sire", 3 championships, presence, crimp, density, fineness, luster, conformation, thick topknot(the densest we have ever seen) and coverage. He is just a phenomenal male. Shaddow is as black as coal and his fleece is non-fading even at 8 years of age. He has no gray fibers at all like most true black males of his age that we have seen. He still looks as great as he did in his showring days. Shaddow's offspring have been taking the showring by storm, having won 34 championships (17 alone so far in 2006) and several blue ribbons. Recently in a bred and owned yearling class at the 2005 PAOBA Show, out of a class of 7, Dark Shaddows offspring won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards (all dark animals). Grand River Amaretta was one of our top show animals in 2006 and 2007 and is one of our top producing females as well. She has won 7 blue ribbons including two bred and owned yearling as well as two Reserve Championship banners! Amaretta comes from a family of champions and champion producers. All of her full siblings have won championships. Amaretta's full brother is Grand River Mezcal, owned by Adirondack Alpacas, 2005 AOBA Reserve Champion black male. Her full brother, Rosso, is also a champion. Her 1/2 brother is Grand River Silver Blade II, multiple blue ribbon winner owned by Celtic Criations and Painted Spring Farm. Her Grandmother Julia has given us several 1st place as well as 2 champion offspring with a combined 6 championship wins. Amaretta's Sire, Dark Shaddow, won the prestigious 2006 Reserve Herdsire of the Year as well as Get of Sire, and three championships himself. Between Amaretta and her siblings, they have won more than 50 championships. She has incredibly dense fleece with a very high amplitude, high frequency crimp that is buttery soft. Her conformation is excellent she has good coverage down to her toes. Amaretta has had three offspring. Her first offspring, Grand River Valencia, a stunning true black female sired by Grand River Velocity, won her first championship as a juvenile as well as several blue ribbons. Amaretta's second offspring, Volare, is also a multiple ribbon winner. Amaretta's last offpring is not yet old enough to show. Amaretta is currently open and offered with a complimentary breeding to any of our unrelated herdsires. We would recommend breeding her to our true black son of 8X champion Jetson, Grand River Jet Stream. We are trying to downsize our herd and Amaretta is offered at an outstanding price for her quality.
