True Black, 817015, Full Peruvian

Always very healthy, she is an easy breeder who has unassisted births & healthy babies.
She passes her correct conformation and coverage with fleece that extends between the toes.
Look at each of her offspring and you will see that straight back and great leg coverage.

Second generation TB gives her depth of color and lots of versatility.

In 2004, her black daughter placed 2nd in fleece competition at the AOBA National Conference and 2nd in halter at the OABA AlpacaFest.

Stealth BLACK!! If you want Full Peruvian TRUE BLACK genetics, this is your guy! Both parents are TB for two generations so he will easily cover black once his breeding career begins.

Bevan arrived on Friday the 13th (10/13/06) and despite our sons' pleadings, we chose NOT to name him "Freddy". His name is Irish for "Youthful Warrior", which we felt was much more dignified. He's all BOY and loves to play with his buddies but is surprisingly gentle with the younger cria. His disposition is wonderful, very curious about what is going on when we're out doing chores. HARD to get photos of him as he loves to ZOOM in on you while you try to shoot. Loves to sniff your hair and touch noses. He seems to be taking notes when the big guys breed their girls so he knows that's what boys "do" but hasn't quite gotten the finesse yet tho' Ann Merriwether reports that he does get a nice little orgle going.

He handled both weaning and halter breaking in April w/o a problem as he's always been very independent from mom. His first shearing was May 4th and who knew what he had under his cria coat! Medium fawn with light chest, belly & legs- STUNNING vicuna-style markings! The photo is of him feeling much cooler and heading out to enjoy rolling in the pasture with his buddies.
Currently, 10 year-old Helen Merriwether has him preparing for performance classes. He's doing very well with all the obstacles - we haven't told him about COSTUME class yet!

Update Summer 07- Bevan competed in his first ever performance classes- he placed 5th out of 15 in the class in Open Obstacle and then 3rd out of 7 in Open PR! At his second show he won the Obstacle class and participated in a parade. Nice job training, Helen! We continue to be very proud of how well he is doing!!

Congratulations to the Shaw Family of Bryn Tirion Farm on their purchase of Bevan. We couldn't be more pleased with his new family!!
