Destinie was a show girl from the day she was born. She was friendly and full of poise. She looks good and she knows it! Her fiber has a super long staple length which brought posetive comments from the judges all season. She is dense, crimpy and soft too. Her head is one that Julio Sumar would love! She looks like she is wearing a shiney brown-black helmet with sweet furry ears. Her legs are densely covered with crimpy fiber and her bone structure is solid as a rock! She is just beautiful.
Medium Silver Grey, 804298, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
Aussie Rockford has arrived in Texas. This amazing, half Accoyo gray has been famously siring champions and blue ribbon winners on the West Coast for years. Now he is here in Paradise! He has a beautiful silver gray fleece, extraordinarily dense and crimpy and is still maintaining a fine hand even at 10 years old. His conformation is excellent, with great presence and a beautiful, typey head. He passes all these attributes to his offspring along with his color. Of 133 registered offspring, over half are gray! And 105 are either black or gray, almost 80%! This is out of dams of varying color, including fawn and white! His offspring have gone on to win many championships and ribbons which I will update on here soon. In an independent statistical evaluation of offspring show results this year, he is in the top three of gray herdsires in the whole country! In listing his offspring below, I purposely chose some of his sons who are working herdsires themselves so you can see the
Diamond is a very well put together alpaca. She has excellent conformation as well as top knotch fleece characteristics. She is heavy boned with straight legs, covered with fiber to the toes. Her fiber is showing remarkable character to the crimp and appears to be "sticking" to her body from all the curl and tightness. Her fiber is also shiney like a new penny! You can see her cute little square face, typical of Aussie Rockfords production giving his cria full topknots and density throughout the fiber as evident in all the show winners he has produced.
Diamonds sire is Aussie Rockford, a medium silver grey male sired by Pperuvian Felix. If your concerned about density, factor in this! Rockford tested #1 above several other grey males when given the very exclusive folicle skin testing! Rockford is also "studding" right now for a very well respected breeder/judge/fiber expert. Doesn't that tell you something??
Diamonds dam is Dom Lucilio's Destinie, a foundation female here at Vintage Alpacas who placed in all the big shows including a 2nd at the Futurity and a 2nd at AOBA Nationals! Destinie is a wonderful example of an alpaca, dense, crimpy, covered in beautiful bay black fleece!
Diamond is destined to "rock" in the show ring. Besides carrying such awesome genetics, she posses all the best qualities one could want in ANY show female. CRIMP is EVERYWHERE even in the topknot!! Density -- Fantastic!! We are so thrilled :)) Diamond lacks nothing and I fully expect her to be a blue ribbon alpaca... you may think I am "barn blind" but I doubt it, Diamond is VERY special!! No Terms on this girl .. cash only.
Awards Received Consider this! At the Ohio show, Vintage took 4 black juvi females. They placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th IN A ROW beating out 8 other black juvi females from the following list of sires: MFI Peruvian Maverick Mile High The Reverend Mr. Black MFI Lethal Weapon My Peruvian Obsydian Dundee's Peruvian Rob Roy Tres Cuartas Accoyo Black Expresso Patagonia's Neruda
Yes, Diamond was the 4th place girl but the top 4 could have been switched at any time. Seems the judge chose brightness over density this time .. but the 3 Rockford girls stood proud and head over heals above the rest!
