Medium Rose Grey, 843994, 3/4 Chilean, 1/4 Peruvian
This little rose-grey sweetheart is exactly what we are striving for in our breeding program. Her solid bone and strong conformation give her a perfect stance. Her fiber is dense with a deep, wavy crimp and a hand that is so fine you can barely tell you are touching her. One look into those dark eyes framed by those lovely, black eyelashes and you are lost forever. Mermaid took COLOR CHAMPION of grey females at the 2003 New England Coastal Classic, and took the blue in yearling rose-grey females at the 2004 NAAS.
Summerhill’s Cordero, a fantastic new addition to our farm, has busted out on the herdsire scene. This light silver grey male has magnificent fiber character rarely seen on grey alpacas, with stellar conformation to boot. Cordero's fleece has a tight crimp from end to end, tidy bundles, a good density, and a wonderful hand. He has placed consistently on the show circuit in front of a number of judges and is ready to rest on his laurels and begin proving himself through his progeny. He has begun his breeding career with confirmed pregnancies to our girls Mermaid, Belle and Cinder Dust.
