Asia has the conformation that the discriminating suri breeder is looking for. Her erect, alert and striking appearance coupled with her lustrous bay black fleece will hold your attention. Here's how it got there:
Asia is out of two 1998 imports though her personality won't give that away! Her dam, Dorcas, has had 5 females out of 6 registered cria. Admiral 581, has sired thirty females out of 39 registered cria and was one of the last true black herdsires to come into this county. He's noted for his fineness and high luster and is co-owned by Tillman Suri Alpacas, Northwest Alpacas, International Alpacas of Canada and Leraso Farm Alpacas. In fact, Ray and Maria Rodriguez have been quoted as saying that "This male (Admiral) has the finest true black fleece we have seen to date. Micron count of 21."
We acquired Asia in 2003 and have had three spectacular cria from her. The first, a fawn male, has all the vigor and conformation you would expect from Bruxo while the second is a beautiful and lustrous light brown female out of Pucara's The Duke. The next year she was bred to ATC's Brigadier and produced an incredible dark rose gray named Talikser. You can find more about both cria elsewhere on our site.
She'll be bred this spring to our own Mad Max for a spring 2013 cria.
