Tinbrook's Mary Todd

Medium Fawn, 1118131, 1/4 Bolivian, 3/4 Chilean

UPDATE: MaryTodd gave birth to a beautiful chocolate brown cria on the evening of April 1, 2007. This boy has yet to clue us in to his real name... but being born on April Fool's Day...it should be very special. He weighed in at 18.2lbs and was up and nursing like a pro in no time at all. MaryTodd is proving to be a fierce mother with an excellent milk supply for her hardy youngster.

  Moonriver's Peruvian Court Jester
    White, 841557, Full Peruvian

Court Jester (CJ) is the ¾ Accoyo son of MacGyver, grandson of the famous Accoyo Bruxo. CJ's full accoyo mother, Sweetheart (owned by East River Alpacas), is the sweet-tempered daughter of Accoyo Ganador. CJ himself is extremely mild-tempered and actually enjoys having his neck stroked. His cria seem to be inheriting his excellent temperament.

CJ has perfect conformation, as well as fleece which is extremely bright, dense and locked to the skin. We are amazed as the regrowth of his 3rd fleece shows the beautiful twist and brightness of his first fleece! He has color on both sides of his pedigree, and each of his four cria are the same or a darker color than the dam. His second cria, Court Jester's King of Hearts, is a dark brown male with very fine, locked fleece. His first cria, Copperwoods Aja, is a beautiful white female out of a white dam. She took a 6th place ribbon in a full class at the '06 Mapaca Jubilee.

Loki made his appearance on April Fool's Day and a trickster he is! Son of well-ribboned Moonriver's Peruvian Court Jester (3/4 Accoyo from the Bruxo line), we expect Loki to follow his Sire's lead in the showring. He already has greasy, thick penciled locks to the skin. Loki has a sweet disposition and even temperament. He's confident and proud and gets along with all the other boys. Now ready for breeding but poor Loki is underworked. He is herdsire quality and is ribboned to boot.
Now acting "interested" in the girls, Loki is looking the part of Herdsire.
We were visited this week by an apprentice show judge who commented on how dense and soft Loki's fiber is. He'll certainly be an integral part of next seasons breeding program for us. We have so much confidence in him that he'll be bred to our own "Gabriel's Independence" who won "Produce of Dam" last year at PAOBA. Ready to breed. I juts sold another Loki blanket from this year's shearing-still soft and silky as ever.

  Awards Received
MaPaca 2008. After an unfortunate injury kept him from going to NAAS, Loki rallied and won a 5th place ribbon under Judge Jude Anderson who commented on his "uniformity of lock, overall density and luster of fleece".
