Pistol is one of our best foundation females. Pistol has fantastic conformation, she stands like a proud queen. She has a wonderful handle to her fiber. She surprised us at her second shearing when her entire neck came in grey. Now she is gray though her entire blanket. We bought Pistol as a true black with a white mask, but she is clearly a dark silver grey, having thrown grey out of a solid, non-white herdsire twice. Her first cria was a fawn ½ accoyo female cria (Nyala's Peruvian Carousel Girl) who has taken blue ribbons and a championship. Pistol had another stunning 1/2 accoyo cria, last year a classic tuxedo rose grey (Nyala's Perucoyo Tamerlane), out of Camilio's Accoyo the Babe. Tam took a blue ribbon in his first show and has continued to ribbon well in large classes. Her third cria is an amazing dark silver gray girl (Liadan who sold before she was 3 months old) out of our own Alianza male Checkmate. Pistol is bred to Accoyo Magneeto for another half accoyo cria th
This is our herdsire of the future. The pathway to the first black full accoyos. Magneeto is the son of Accoyo Camilio (a medium fawn full accoyo champion who throws black) and Keyhana (a light fawn full accoyo that took blue ribbons in the largest West Coast show). Keyhana is the daughter of Accoyo Victor (who also is a medium fawn full accoyo that throws black). So Magneeto has a chance to get black alleles from both sides of his family tree. He has black toenails and gums (another great sign he covers black). He is amazingly dense and has tremendous high amplitude crinp with great lock structure from head to tail. He is amazingly uniform in his crimp, coverage and density. Another nice things about Neeto is he is really the sweetest alpaca ever. You simply could not ask for a nicer temperament. He is gentle and he just loves people.
Nyala Farm Alpacas is proud to announce our partnership in PHA Accoyo Magneeto with Flying Pony Alpcas.
Constantine is the son of Accoyo Magneeto a blue ribbon winner and Pistol a dark silver gray multiple blue ribbon winner. Connie has incredibly dense crimpy fleece and he's holding his crimp and fineness very well. You really have to see this fleece to believe it. We are pretty sure he is a light rose grey. We bought Pistol as a black, but she turned out to be a dark silver grey. It just took a few shearings for the grey to spread down her neck. We are pretty sure that Constantine is the same as he has too has become more roaned as he has aged. We plan on breeding him this year to see if he will be able to produce elite grey offspring when bred to solid non-whites. We are pretty excited to see the cria he will make! His dam Pistol is our top producing dam. Every one of her cria have been fabulous (the first six have all been ribbon winners and number seven a copy of Connie will go in the ring next spring). Pistol's firstborn was a fawn half accoyo who went on to become a color champion (see Carousel Girl on our sold list). Pistol's second born was a rose gray male who is a five time blue ribbon winner (See Tamerlane on our herdsire list). Pistol's third cria was a lovely silver gray ribbon winning girl, herself the dam of a champion and judges choice winner (see Liadan on our sold list). Connie's full sister Mirage (on our sales list) is a two time champion. Nicky her cria from last year is blue ribbon winner. So Connie comes from a family of solid ribbon winners. Every cria his mom has made has been truly amazing. He has a typey look and an amazing pedigree (Camilio, Victor, Black Magic, Nic Nac, Choclateer, Astillero, Keyahana). We are keeping half of this boy for our breeding program to make elite greys.
Connie showed in fawn and even with his roan fleece he stood in the front row but not in first place. He did do well when he went in indefinite. Judges loved his density, fineness and most especially his incredible structure.
